Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of large amounts of data. Design, develop, implement and maintain Big Data infrastructure that makes this data available and accessible to the entire company to make data driven decisions;

2. Proactively analyze business and technical requirements which can fit in the area of Big Data. Work with stakeholders including the business teams from departments of Risks, Sales, CRM and with other technical teams within IT departments to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data needs;

3. Define and implement data integration and data processing based on customer requirements and system requirements. Design and develop ETL, data processing logic. Perform improvement and optimization;

4. Be the Big Data evangelist, spreading the knowledge and acceptance of proper architecture concepts.

Requirements:

1. Practical experience with big data ecosystem (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, Spark, Sqoop, Oozie, Storm, and others);

2. Knowledge in data warehouse and data mart architecture, design and implementation. Experience with Oracle is preferred;

3. Practical development skills, e.g. SQL, Python, Shell programming, Java, R, Scala etc;

4. Knowledge in data visualization tools, such as SAS VA;

5. Knowledge in data modeling, data mining and machine learning;

6. Knowledge with UNIX, Linux and Windows environments, Networks, Application servers/Middleware, Database technologies;

7. Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills;

8. Ability to think on an enterprise level, forward looking;

9. Practical working experience from operations or architecture position in finance/banking sector;

10. Technical writing skills and practical presentation skills;

11. Excellent written and oral communications skills, both in Chinese and English;

12. Good fast-learning ability. Focused on finding solutions, can-do attitude;

13. Independent working attitude;

14. Good team spirit and be able to work effectively with others;

15. Ability to multi-task multiple projects;

16. Used to work in dynamic environment.
