Responsibilities:

• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimation, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of eCommerce solution for our clients. This includes but not limited to eCommerce WSC/OMS/IIB, mobile eCommerce sites, as well as custom mobile applications.
• Develop solution after performing requirement and problem analysis, studying system flow, data usage and work processes, as well as document architectural and functional design. Participate in software architecture and systems integration decisions.
• Work with business analysts to fully understand business requirements.
• Lead, mentor and guide developers on the team to ensure they are aware of technical requirements and help contribute to their success.
• Involve in front-end and server-side development of robust, high-volume eCommerce systems, as well as be able to develop prototypes quickly.
• Conduct code, technical and design reviews.
• Prepare plans and framework to ensure accurate development with thorough testing.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of engagement processes and operations, introduction of new technologies and programming standards, develop methodologies to implement technology solutions, and formalization of best practices within a professional services organization via post project review to determine development and service issues.
• Serve as the technical advisor, responsible for interacting with the client’s leadership and technology teams on technical matters as part of an engagement.
• Lead and participate in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning.
• Maintain technical knowledge in the latest development tools and programming techniques by participating in education opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Assist with business development and help to identify potential opportunities to improve the client’s business that are outside of the scope of immediate discussions resulting in additional and on-going business.
• Assist in hiring qualified personnel for other positions in the organization.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Significant experience (i.e., 5+ years) with WSC/OMS/IIB (through V7) design, architecture and development, and can demonstrate advanced technical and functional knowledge
• Significant hands-on experience in multiple WSC/OMS/IIB subsystems, i.e., Catalog, Order Management, Member, Marketing, etc.?
• Able to generate technical specifications including application design, database design
• Able to leverage WSC/OMS/IIB commands, JSPs, Servlets, JDBC, JNDI, ANT, and JSTL
• Significant experience (i.e., 8+ years) in Java/J2EE development, object oriented design and programming, and have led large scale implementation and integration from a technical perspective
• Significant experience in user interface design and web development with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS and Ajax
• Significant experience with Struts and Spring application frameworks
• Strong database development with SQL, solid understanding of relational database technologies preferably with DB2, and data modeling
• Significant experience with application servers such as WebSphere, JBoss and Weblogic in relation to packaging and deploying Java applications
• Significant experience in development and deployment in a multi-tiered and multi-server application architecture
• Significant experience with XML, SOAP and REST based web service development
• Significant experience with development tools such as Eclipse
• Significant experience with source code version control systems such as CVS and Subversion
• Significant experience with build and deployment using Apache Ant
• Significant experience with unit, system and integration testing
• Significant experience with both SDLC and Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge with graphic, multimedia and web design software such as Adobe Photoshop is desirable
• Knowledge in search engines such as SOLR and Endeca is desirable
• Knowledge in iterative and parallel development model is desirable
• Certifications in Java, WSC/OMS/IIB, Application Server and DB2 are a plus
