Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Human Resources Financial Planning and Governance Manager .
Principal responsibilities
  • Enhances and implements a robust strategic financial planning and tracking for Asia Pacific Human Resources team
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to regional HR leaders in Asia Pacific and Heads of HR in countries
  • Create a robust HR financial planning process that enable active review of trends and issues. Anticipates and highlights potential problems and drives early development of solutions.
  • Engages and collaborates with HR Business Partners, Specialists teams in Asia Pacific on financial planning, providing them with the required information and data, recommendations, and analytical reports.
  • Has an understanding of the consequences of people, operational, legal compliance and governance issues, and their associated risks, and ensures they are effectively managed in all markets, with mitigating actions identified.
  • Implements effective quality control standards, ensures adherence to established policies and procedures, and compliance with all internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
  • Aside from planning and financial responsibilities this involves coordinating the integration of employee metrics, analytics and modeling and benchmarking that will deliver direct results for highly complex and diverse businesses in Asia Pacific.
  • Design and drive governance and adherence for other CAO scope such as vendor management, business resilience, and operational risk
  • Acts with courageous integrity and behaves according to HSBCs values during the day to day operations within the team

Qualifications

Requirements
  • Strong financial planning background with sound financial and accounting concepts
  • Able to operate in a complex matrix organization and navigate through ambiguity
  • Present financials to leadership team in clear, logical and concise manner
  • Demonstrates a broad understanding of the business products and services, able to articulate business value of HR initiatives and make commercially sound judgment to advice businesses.
  • Uses in depth understanding of the organization to maneuver the matrix to garner stakeholder buy in and balance competing demands, and has the stature and credibility to effectively interact with senior business executives across the organization.
  • Self starting rather than passively accepting, continuously focuses on providing quality products, services and result. Complies with prevailing requirement and procedures, follows through initiatives with attention to detail to achieve set targets and standards.
