We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic housekeeper to carry out allocated cleaning duties, achieving established standards of cleanliness and presentation to meet or exceed guests needs and expectations. As well as the ability to work and carry out the tasks of a houseperson/public area attendant. You will be responsible for the cleanliness of the common/public areas as well as allocated guest rooms.

Basic duties include:

  • Cleaning guest rooms to a high standard
  • Cleaning of public areas, storage areas and corridors as allocated.
  • Ensuring housekeeping teams have their supplies fully stocked
  • Clearing floors of linen bags and delivering linen to floors and store rooms
  • Answering to housekeeping and public area requests - i.e. cleaning spills, delivering extra beds/bedding
  • Ensure guest supplies are delivered to guest rooms upon request.
  • Ensure/maintain guest room security
  • Flexibility to work across a 7 day roster
  • May include evening shifts (turndown)


Work Experience

Work Experience

  • Good level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads
  • Excellent time management as you are working mostly unsupervised. You must be able to complete all tasks within an allotted time
  • Be able to prioritise time and tasks appropriately
  • Minimum 6 months experience as either Housekeeper or Houseperson
  • Previous experience in a 5* property advantageous
