Accountabilities
Reporting to the HEOR Director, the HEOR Manager is accountable for executing specific projects within the HEOR Book of Work, strategically aligned with the Access Strategy Lead (ASL), for one or several assets across the life cycle management
The HEOR Book of Work comprises generating global-impact payer-relevant evidence, patient reported outcomes (PRO) and clinical outcomes assessment (COA) strategy, and evidence synthesis. Additionally, the HEOR Manager is responsible to contribute to the delivery of global core materials to support Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions, including the Global Value Dossier (GVD) and economic models
The HEOR Manager role involves execution of deliverables, as well as engaging with internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities
This role is global, with tactical execution. The HEOR Manager must have understanding of payer-relevant evidence generation, PRO/COA strategy, evidence synthesis and HTA requirements
The HEOR Manager needs to engage effectively with internal customers to align and support the comprehensive HEOR plan, including the ASL, top-10 countries and cross-functional teams: Evidence Generation Team (EGT), Global Medical Affairs Team (GMAT), Center for Observational Research, Real-World Evidence sub-Team (RWEsT), Global Biostatistical Sciences, US Value Marketing, Medical Value & Access
HEOR Book of Work:
Payer-relevant evidence generation plan and execution of global-impact and United States local-impact studies.
PRO/COA strategy
Evidence synthesis
Global core materials supporting HTA requirements
The HEOR Manager will also engage with vendors and external experts to validate HEOR technical approach.
The HEOR Manager's main responsibilities include:
Executing specific projects within the HEOR Book of Work
Maintaining a fluent working relationship with top-10 countries, particularly the United States
Ensuring compliance with HTA dossier governance
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Health economics training (on the job or academic)
Understanding of research protocols and publications
Understanding of payer-relevant evidence, including real-world evidence
Understanding of PRO/COA
Understanding of evidence synthesis (systematic literature reviews, indirect treatment comparisons and meta-analyses)
Understanding of HTA requirements
Understanding of GVDs and AMCP dossiers
Understanding of economic models and predictive analytics
Doctorate degree
OR Master's degree with 3+ years of HEOR experience
OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of HEOR experience
Preferred Requirements include all the minimum requirements plus:
Experience in Amgen products' specific therapeutic areas

Understanding of clinical development process and regulatory evidence needs
Ability to synthesize complex technical terms for non-technical audience
