• Overall responsibility for security management of the APAC region of Linde with significant exposure to senior business management.
• Frequently conduct site risk assessments/ fieldwork and assure that appropriate countermeasures are in place.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents using sound investigative methods, conduct root cause analysis, identify mitigation measures, and compile accurate, concise reports.
• Ensure that corporate security policies and procedures are adhered to throughout the region.
• Partner closely with global and regional leadership teams to identify and improve overall security services progam.
• Participated in crisis management an emergency response program.
• Continual improvement of the security posture of the region through the use of training programs and special projects.

- Build strong relationships with private- and public-sector agencies throughout the region through involvement with networking, industry associations, and public-private partnerships.

• Identifying significant security risks in the region related to the business operations; directing the design and implementation of programs to prevent and reduce loss of assets

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in military and/or law enforcement. Relevant security certifications a plus.
• 10 or more years as an international security manager with expertise in Asia Pacific region.
• Significant experience assessing security risks at manufacturing sites, retail locations, and office buildings.
• In-depth knowledge of access control systems, CCTV, and other risk mitigation physical security measures.
• Demonstrable knowledge of physical security standards, processes and compliance.
• Experience working in security at a global company where 24/7 availability was expected.
• Professional network of relevant private sector and public sector contacts throughout the region.
• Experience in vendor management and negotiations.
• Experience in the chemicals or industrial gas industries and/or knowledge of hazardous materials a significant plus
• Working knowledge of Security Operations Centers desired.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organisation.
• Outstanding customer service, communication, negotiating, and influencing skills.
• Must possess excellent written, oral, and presentation skills with the ability to accurately and succinctly communicate complex security concepts and/or investigation results in business terms and in high-stress situations.
• Ability to independently analyze complex problems and produce insightful, practical solutions.

- Must be a proven self- starter with a proactive attitude and able to work independently as well as on a team..

• Position requires international and domestic travel, sometimes on short notice (~50%).
• Excellent command of the English language in speech and writing plus fluency in another relevant language such as Chinese.
