The Head of IT Operations and Connectivity is responsible for connectivity to deliver software upgrades remotely thereby eliminating the need for service technicians to deliver software upgrades via service calls. In addition, the executive leads all aspects of IT Operations on a global basis, the day-to-day Network Operations, Infrastructure, Information and Cyber Security, Digital Workplace and Data Analytics in support of Ultrasound’s operations. The IT Leader is responsible for operational and cost effectiveness and delivering high service quality throughout the company and plays a key role in enabling Ultrasound to execute its business strategy. As a Head of IT Operations and Connectivity, you will be responsible for: · IT Operations and Infrastructure o Guide information systems and technology decisions, including, but not limited to hardware, software, infrastructure, staffing, services and support o Monitor, maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure and digital desktop user experience as and when needed and work closely with Enterprise Applications team to ensure system design is scalable and where possible avoids customization and complexity o Oversee the information and data security via Ultrasound’s cybersecurity program to ensure it meets established goals o Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan · Strategy, Planning, and Enterprise Design o Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve department goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives with business leaders, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization o Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments o Develop, track, and manage the information technology annual operating and capital budgets · Solutions Development and Deployment o Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to clearly define business and systems requirements for new technology implementation and enhancements o Oversee the PMO program for IT software selection, implementation, and operation o Drive impact of data through the execution of enterprise data strategy · Infrastructure, Security and Service Management o Ensure continuous delivery of IT services by monitoring IT systems performance o Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations o Oversee the cybersecurity program to ensure it meets established goals o Ensure architecture principles are aligned and executed across organization · Technology Leadership o Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies o Lead the IT and digital transformation strategy and execution, balancing vertical integration of the technology with technology partnerships and outsourcing o Identify and mentor technology leaders, in order to build and maintain a high-performance team · Digital Transformation o Lead cross functional initiatives to integrate digital technology in all customer-facing and strategic business operations (e.g., Clinical, Marketing, Sales, IT, and external customers and strategic partners) using current and emerging technology tools (e.g., Salesforce.com) o Design, build and deploy the infrastructure necessary to upgrade ultrasound equipment at remote sites from the company’s central service center This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers Proven ability to operate and effectively navigate in a highly complex matrix environment Ability to build effective working relationships with executives and key business partners to drive change agendas that transform the organization Track record of successful leading a global team and to collaborate on all levels, up to C-suite Knowledgeable of security issues and associated technologies to securely protect our assets Demonstrated success leveraging innovative technology to meet business objectives Required skills to have for the success of this role · Bachelors’ Degree in computer science, engineering or related studies; MBA preferred · At least 10 years’ in managing an IT function; at least 5 years at senior leadership level · Experience scaling IT capabilities in conjunction with organizational growth · Expertise in modern technology concepts, platforms, and methodologies to accelerate change, but also promote a simple and agile environment · Ability to work directly with operations and functions as a collaborator and partner identifying strategic improvements to drive business growth and outcomes · Ability to balance near and long-term strategy in Infrastructure, Cloud, Service management, Enterprise Software applications, Data Strategy to ensure scalability, stability, security and supportability of IT ecosystem · Proven experience in strategic planning and execution as well as strong negotiation skills to meet existing and future business needs · In-depth knowledge of IT related laws and regulations (HIPAA, FDA System Validation a plus) · Willingness to travel up to 20% Siemens Healthineers has recently announced the next steps in our continued commitment to prioritize colleague health, comply with customer/business partner requirements, and help preserve our business continuity.
