We are now seeking our new BBU Head in Denmark. The BioPharmaceuticals Business Unit (BBU) creates and executes meaningful therapeutic area and product strategies that are focused on addressing the unmet needs of patients around the world. We are committed to changing the course of medicine and bringing innovative therapies to enhance the quality of life for our patients.
The role
As BBU Head, you will be a member of the Country Management Team and have shared accountability for the leadership, strategic direction, business development and compliance of the country market.
Additionally, the BBU Head has the single accountability for achieving: national sales targets, sales activity cost targets and sales activity levels as well as being responsible to ensure excellence in local execution. You will hold Brand P&Ls on country level and be accountable for the overall marketing mix, forecasting and budget management.
You are also responsible for managing the country sales and marketing operations within Denmark. You will lead the brand strategic and operational plans to achieve the national sales targets, sales activity cost targets and sales activity levels both short and long term financial objectives.
You are expected to build, lead and develop a high performing marketing and sales team(s) in Denmark, including but not limited to performance management, talent management, training and career development.
What you will do
Lead the cross-functional team to develop impactful activities that meets needs of customers for key brands, through close collaboration with all customer facing functions
Responsible for competitive intelligence with regards to Brand strategies
Responsible for building a way of operating that positions AZ as a trusted company operating with the highest ethical standards and integrity
Assures tasks are of correct quality and in accordance with written procedures and current legal requirements and internal standards
Accountable for the team’s and individuals’ level of competence being right as well as their compliance to current legal requirements and internal standards
Ensures that strong external relationships are built and maintained with healthcare professionals, payers and patient groups
In order to succeed, you have
Strong business acumen, leadership and strategic thinking
- 15+ years of pharmaceutical experience across multiple therapeutic areas
- Previous experience in leading both sales and marketing teams
- Previous sales and marketing experience
- Strong understanding/experience of market access
- Previous experience in managing multiple brands or therapeutic areas
- Previous launch experience
- Experience in managing brand P&Ls and forecasting and a solid understanding of financial processes
- Good and holistic understanding of the customer landscape across Nordic geography
- Strong business acumen
- Experience in managing brand P&Ls and forecasting

We are looking for an individual with an academic degree in a relevant area. Significant experience from pharma sales, marketing and MA work in leading positions including launch experience is essential as is previous experience in managing multiple brands or therapeutic areas.
You partner with multidisciplinary functions and therefore must have proven ability to influence and lead cross-functionally. This includes excellent communication and presentation skills, proficient in written and spoken English.
