Reports to CFO – VP Finance in Consumer Board China. Strong relationships with other functions and operations.

General Characteristics

As a key member of the Finance Team, Head of Accounting is accountable to manage all accounting related activities and resources to facilitate timely and accurately reporting, strong internal controls and processes that safeguard assets against business risk.

Representative Activities

• Is the key financial partner and advisor to the CFO in accounting related matters.
• Designs, proposes and implements accounting processes, guidelines and procedures within the Company.
• Oversees that the monthly and yearly financial closing processes are done on a timely and accurate manner and prepares the related reporting accordingly.
• Accountable for the maintenance and control of the company’s general ledger and related accounting practices, including payables, receivables, inventories, fixed assets.
• Works in cooperation with all departments in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
• Ensures compliance of the Company’s practices with applicable legislation and tax authorities, and to coordinate timely and accurate statutory financial reporting and submission.
• Leads in the appropriate liaison with third party advisors including insurers, tax authorities and external auditors.
• Ensures all systems and hardware fully support the accounting and people needs to carry out day to day requirements;
• Leads and motivates the Accounting Team; reviews and assesses performance; builds employee capacity; builds their professional development and enables employees to optimize their contribution to the department.

Qualifications/Experience

• Chartered accountant.
• In depth knowledge IFRS.
• Proven track record in accounting large team management;
• Significant experience of hands on operations accounting including ownership of standard costing;
• Proficient in SAP and experience in SAP implementation desirable;
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint;
• Fluent in English.
