Job Location: Mountain View, CA Tasks & responsibilities: • Implement and roll out new accounting standards including trainings and maintain current accounting policies and procedures. • Responsible for all Accounting operations for all legal entities worldwide and ensure compliance with IFRS standards, Siemens guidelines and local law. • Ensures preparation, external reporting and consolidation of financial statements and related disclosures, for all assigned organization units. • Planning, organizing and coordinating the month/quarter/year-end close process with internal and external auditors. • Manages transfer of accounting and transactional services to 3rd party accounting service provider (incl. but not limited to intercompany clearing, account reconciliations, fixed assets, AP, AR, indirect tax and payroll accounting). • Responsible for specific topics including inventory, GR/IR and intangibles. • Treasury management including pensions accounting, hedging, insurance, guarantees, banking and financing as needed. • Identifies process improvement potentials in accounting processes, and proposes remedial measures or projects. • Serves as contact to other Corporate Finance & Controlling functions to clarify business cases, as far as accounting is concerned. • Supports Shareholder Controlling objectives for accounting related activities. • Manages the Accounting organization, hiring, training and retaining competent accounting staff internally and in cooperation with 3rd party service provider. • Responsible for developing the budget for the accounting function and 3rd party services. • Maintain governance of all accounting topics and ensure appropriate internal controls. Qualifications & Experience: • At least 3 years experience in senior managerial leadership role of managing a full accounting function • Min. requirement of 10-15 years in the area of accounting & controlling with extensive experience in leading and developing an accounting organization • Experience in international company or as an external auditor • Applied experience and knowledge of IFRS • Accounting degree or similar.
