The Role:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and energetic Handyperson to join the team on a part time basis.
 

Supporting both Peppers Gallery Canberra and BreakFree Capital Tower no two days will be the same. As Handyperson you will support the maintenance and upkeep of both properties including, common areas (internal and external), plant and machinery, outdoor areas and facilities as well as a mixture of Hotel and Apartment style accommodation rooms.

You will also hold the following main responsibilities:

• Complete general maintenance tasks (preventative and reactive) and repair works across all areas of both properties
• Pool maintenance including testing and chemical handling
• Ensure accurate records are kept at times   
• Maintain open communication with Management to ensure tasks are completed or escalated in a timely manner
• Provide outstanding interactions with Guest and Residents ensuring a guest-centred mindset at all times
• Assist with stock take as required
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times  
• Assist with special projects and functions as required.

About You:

• Experience in a similar position is advantageous but not essential
• Punctual and able to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Take pride in your work and have high attention to detail
• Demonstrated understanding of safe work practices
• Good communication skills – spoken & written
• Available to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays
• Unlimited Australian Working Rights.
