The Role:

China has been carved out as a key growth region within AspenTech, with immense opportunities and potential. The HR Business Partner serves as an advisor to the management teams, primarily in the Technology, Sales and Field Operations organization. These business functions are based both in Shanghai and Beijing. This individual will report directly to the SR Director, Human Resources and provide a broad range of HR services including: coaching and employee development, talent management, change management, policy development, workforce planning, employee relations and talent acquisition for the technology teams.

Your Impact:

  • Represents the APAC HR Function in providing full-service HR business partner/consulting support to select client groups.
  • Cultivates strong working relationships with client management team and employees.
  • Coach and counsel leaders and managers. Provide tools and guidance that enable management effectiveness.
  • Serves as program manager for HR initiatives in support of business objectives such as talent reviews, on-boarding, hiring, operational improvements and employee development planning.
  • Participates as team member on some of the global HR initiatives such as implementing a new HCM, developing our Employee Brand/Value Proposition, and establishing Benchmarks/Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to measure organizational effectiveness
  • Develops and builds consistent HR processes that support corporate functions and complies with local business and corporate requirements.
  • Provide HR operational supports to China employees.
  • Recruits talents for the technology team, looking at avenues to attract talents, including but not limited to, job portals or campus hire.
  • Effectively work with business to drive and maintain a proactive recruiting strategy that identifies high quality talent in a timely manner.

What you'll need:

  • This is a mid-level role requiring 5-6 years of experience as an HR business partner or similar role.
  • Experience working for a foreign Company with headquarters in the US and recent experience supporting Technology team
  • Collaborative and customer-focused with ability to develop strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to align HR programs to business goals and objectives in a high growth environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Comfortable to challenge the status quo with a passion to deliver results in a dynamic environment
