Mandarin Matrix is one of the world’s leading companies specialising in producing learning materials that teach Chinese as a second language to primary and middle year’s school students. We are a growing company with a friendly team environment, and need a Graphic Designer to design new Chinese learning materials for young Chinese language learners.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating concepts, design and implementing any assigned creative projects
• Support the Art Director and wider team on projects as required
• Involving In design solution for brand identity and image
• Managing all the graphic design of print and digital materials
• Liaise withcommercial printers with regard to quotations, project specifications, quality control and delivery
• Independently following up the production

Requirements:

• Higher diploma or university degree in Graphic Design or related disciplines.
• 1-3years work experience in Graphic Design, with experience in publishing is highly preferred.
• Ability to draw/illustrate is necessary, experience with wacom drawing tablet is a plus
• Passionate about design, with a keen eye for detail
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Knowledge of publishing techniques and understanding of print and production process
• Ability to identify potential problems and provide solutions within the production process
• Creative flair and a strong visual sense are required
• Work independently and equally as part of a team
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese in order to liaise with suppliers in China (Knowledge of Mandarin and pinyin would be of great benefit)
• Pro-active attitude and ability to work independently and able to meet deadlines
• Good team player with good interpersonal, communication & organisational skills, and passionate about developing great creative designs
