The Global Program Management Office is an enterprise-level organization at Citi. The Global Program Manager delivers and manages the end-to-end life cycle of critical enterprise programs globally aligned to key strategic and regulatory initiatives. Engaged at the request of Executive Management, the Global Program Manager has a unique opportunity to work across product, functions, businesses, and a book of work that is a rapidly changing mix of process innovation, regulatory compliance, customer product creation, financial control and business reengineering engagements. He/she is responsible and applies best practices in definition, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of programs. This position requires exemplary communication and influencing skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a PM team depending on the size and need of the engagement, and strong leadership abilities. Comprised of over 30 experienced PMs, the GPMO Program Delivery organization currently works with sponsors in ICG, GCG, EO&T, Financial Control, Corporate Compliance, OT Risk Management, Citi Ventures and Innovations, and Corporate Branding.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Act as Program Manager for a complex program and continuously ensure its alignment to objectives; Orchestrate and drive the successful & timely completion of program to achieve the business goals, including the identification and resolution of risks and issues which impact program delivery
- Be responsible for defining and ensuring appropriate governance, methodology, and best practices for program management, while ensuring compliance with Citi standards and policies for program management
- Work with project managers to develop and manage program plan; ensure all deliverables are produced on time, and with the necessary level of quality
- Provide a global view of the deliverable, and drive global alignment.
- Build strong relationships with program sponsors; be accountable to program director and executive sponsor
- Manage issues, risks, scope, schedule, and communications, including carrying out risk management, mitigation planning, and workshops
- Manage capacity and program alignment cooperatively across the portfolio
- Communicate to all stakeholders (including Senior Management, C-level executives, and international regulators) on a timely basis in a clear way
- Facilitate, coordinate, and arbitrate cross-functional macro level topics with key stakeholders (often including Senior Management)
- Employ program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery; leverage these across the O&T organization
- Maintain weekly and monthly operating reports
- Guarantee compliance with all application tools used for program and project management
- In partnership with the Global Program Management Office (GPMO) managers, make certain that the collective activities of GPMO support the goal of reaching Citi's targets
Qualifications
- 6 years’ experience in successfully managing complex projects and programs which include external suppliers through the full project lifecycle, from conception through rollout and ongoing support
- Experience with Data Governance or Data Quality is a plus
. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Some experience with Data Privacy or Privacy Regulation is a plus. Experience in managing technology efforts through the complete solution delivery life cycle (SDLC), and familiarity with SDLC best-practices.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead program work on a global large scale level.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills which can be leveraged to consistently succeed
- Experience in genuine Program management during which s/he applied a structured approach (methodology) to the successful management, tracking, planning, monitoring and reporting of concurrent, multiple financial services projects spanning broad geographies and organizations.
- Experience with enterprise program management tools
- Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills
- Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management
- Individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Technical proficiencies in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in any of the following fields a plus: Financial Services Technology, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Regulatory and Compliance, Design and Construction, Consulting/Re-engineering/Process Optimization, Data Privacy Regulations
- PMP a plus
