What you’ll do

As Global Product Leader, you will hold a key leadership role for a cross-functional Global Product Team (GPT) to deliver a successful strategy aligned to the global brand strategy through the brand´s life cycle.   

You will lead the development and delivery of the product or indication strategy and work in close partnership with commercial peer to maximize the value of the indication or product. This includes creating business cases for governance endorsement including Ph3 ID, Commercial ID and subsequent LCM.

A strong, creative and visible leadership will be essential to successfully lead and nurture the cross-functional product team. You will grow and leverage your network of key stakeholders and experts, to win together.

You will have the overall responsibility to ensure appropriate governance and compliance to protect AstraZeneca´s rights, data- and intellectual Property

We will rely on you to:

  • Drive risk, opportunity and issue management in an effective and transparent way at strategic and operational levels
  • Drive innovative and novel ways to accelerate development and maximize value for patients and the company
  • Ensure that all governance and compliance issues are identified, reported and managed appropriately and in line with AstraZeneca’s code of ethics


 

Essential for the role

We believe that you have a science-based degree or are medically qualified. You have experience and expertise in the late drug development process, coupled with the appropriate regulatory and commercial insights. Additionally, you are a natural when it comes to communicating and translating technical information into relevant business language.

You also possess:

  • Proven track record of delivering high risk programme or projects and decision making
  • Strong vision and excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate and influence with both internal and external partners.
  • At least 7 years’ experience of drug programme management.
  • Experience of either Respiratory or Immunology therapeutic area
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Desirable for the role

  • Postgraduate qualification
  • MBA
  • A sound appreciation of the political, economic, social and technological challenges when facing the Life Sciences industry today
  • Cross functional team leadership experience
