Job Description
We are recruiting talent teacher for WLSA's unique curriculum, the Global Impact Program (GIP) which includes the following subjects:

Skills Development Program (SDP)
Course Description: Many Chinese students who go to study at foreign universities often lack some important skills that are necessary to succeed. SDP was designed by WLSA to help students develop these skills and give them a foundation for achieving excellence both in the subjects they study at WLSA and at university and in their adult career as well.

Students learn and practice five core skills:
•Independent reflective learning – growth mindset, self-reflection, setting goals, project planning.
•Enterprise skills – leadership and teamwork.
•Presentation skills – speaking to an audience, presentation strategies.
•Critical thinking – identifying bias, making conclusions, constructing a logical argument.
• Research skills – constructing a research question, constructing a logical argument, finding authoritative academic information and evidence (from surveys, interviews, and written sources),
•integrating evidence into your work, how to use MLA format standards.
Students will apply these skills in a variety of group project work that they complete during the school year, culminating in a final project at the end of the year. They will also reflect regularly on their learning by maintaining a reflective/analytical journal.

We are eager for talents who:
-can discuss, at a high school level, the topics of Social Class, Gender, Race, Religion, and Art. There is existing material to support you, but confidence in discussion on these issues is preferred. If you have a background in social studies, philosophy, political science, or other Humanities, they match very well with our colloquy and ADAS teaching.
-can teach and communicate to students in important skills for college success. These include: critical thinking skills, research skills, formatting skills (such as MLA), note taking and other practical skills for college success. Any degree subjects are accepted with instructor confidence in these skillsets.
- Bachelor Degree or above, minimum two-year teaching experiences;TESOL, CELTA, or TEFL
certificate with practicum or teaching license / certificates getting from home country is essential.
-Passion in education and be capable of motivating students and helping shape their futures.

Teaching hours: 20-25 periods per week, willing to take evening study duties and participate in student admission interview support.
