This is what truly matters to us. TITLE: Global Commodity Management Professional DUTIES: Work with a team of Commodity Specialists in the US and in South Korea. Responsible for multiple global commodities with primary responsibility for creating and implementing a long-term roadmap for commodity strategies, driving contract negotiation, cost reduction negotiations, and managing supplier relationships. Lead the Siemens/supplier strategic business relationship including supplier performance, risk evaluation and business review. Review and outline the Internal Material Environment by analyzing key component status. Benchmark price trends including market analysis, Market monitoring for technology trends. Quotation analysis and cost break down. Budget CNI target and realize target as budgeted. Benchmark input costs and create a “should-cost” model. Collaborate with CVE team and negotiate to meet "should-cost". Set up BU Commodity strategies for areas of responsibility. Identify cost control alternatives and actions. Drive annual cost reduction (PPC) and review potential material cost productivity opportunities by Value Engineering, Design to Cost, Optimization, etc. REQUIREMENTS. Must have 5 years of experience with the following skills: experience with global market and technology trends; Experience with material supply chains; Experience with manufacturing processes and material supply chain would be ideal; Experience investigating and benchmarking market pricing for competitive material cost; Experience managing supply base and suppliers throughout the Product life cycle and Supplier's life cycle.
