Job Title: : Global Commodity Management Manager Job Location: Issaquah, WA or Mountain View, CA Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Commodity Management Specialists in the US. Chosen applicant will be responsible for the Commodity Management team, which is responsible for multiple global commodities and has primary responsibility for creating and implementing long-term supplier roadmaps for identified commodities, driving contract negotiation, cost reduction negotiations, and managing supplier relationships. The team also leads the Siemens/supplier strategic business relationship including supplier performance, risk evaluation, early supplier involvement, and business reviews. Additional tasks include; review and outlines of the Internal Material Environment by analyzing key component status. Benchmarks price trends including market analysis, Market monitoring for technology trends. Quotation analysis and cost break down. Budget CNI target and realize target as budgeted. Benchmark input costs to create a “should-cost” model. Collaborate with PLM (R&D) and CVE team to negotiate and meet "should-cost" projections for existing and new products. Set up Commodity strategies for areas of responsibility. Identify cost control alternatives and actions. Drive annual cost reduction (PPC) and review potential material cost productivity (MCP) opportunities identified by suppliers, CVE, Design to Cost, Optimization, or alternate sources. REQUIREMENTS: • Must have 5 years of experience with the following skills: proven leadership of cross-functional teams, experience with global market and technology trends, should-cost modelling. • Experience with international material supply chains, including EU, AP, USA experience. • Experience with manufacturing processes and material supply chain development would be ideal. • Experience investigating and benchmarking market pricing for competitive material cost, including total cost of ownership to Siemens. • Experience managing supply base and suppliers throughout the Product life cycle and Supplier's life cycle. • Approximately 30% travel required.
