As a General Manager/ Manufacturing Unit Manager, you will be part of the Electrification Business and Smart Power (BL) Business Line, based in Jiangmen. ABB is the world leader in offering the Electrification Products and Systems that provide Building Products, Electrification Solutions, Installation Products, Protection and connection and Medium Voltage Products.

You will be responsible for Manage all aspects related to operations of a local manufacturing unit including the full scope of Production, Engineering, Procurement, Quality & Operational Excellence and Logistics.


? Implement the global business unit/product group manufacturing strategy in the country within the area of responsibility. Provide input to global business unit/product group strategy. Develop proactive strategies to increase business profits, customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
? Ensure achievement of established targets, through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. Focus on achievement of operating cash flow, project on-time and on-cost, requested on-time delivery (ROTD) and cost reduction.
? Lead and manage manufacturing function and operation teams and processes. Implement localization plan. Improves manufacturing technology and competence in line with business unit/product group strategy.
? Execute business unit/product group Quality strategy. Drive quality improvement through target setting, monitoring and benchmarking to continuously improve processes. Execute quality management for monitoring and validating day to day control of processes. Ensure manufacturing operations are in compliance with applicable standards. Drive continued improvements in productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization.
? Deliver operational/project targets (e.g. ROTD, lead time, quality, etc.) to improve net promoter score (NPS). Ensure that manufacturing resources implement improvements that address issues identified through Customer Complaint Resolution Process (CCRP), Internal Transactional Partnership Survey (ITPS), Top 5 Quality Initiatives (T5QI) and other voice of the customer initiatives.
? Implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards and regulations within the units. Ensures a safe working environment, and continuous improvement in HSE process and integrity performance. Personally, lives the ABB values and Group standards.
? Implement and ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations/project execution and shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
? Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed. Builds an effective, capable and high performing organization. Develop talent, appoints managers and reviews effectiveness.

? Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related
? More than 10 years of experience including operations, quality management and P&L management, working experience in JV will be a plus.
? Good knowledge of the various continuous improvement systems and processes.
? Ability to make decisions in critical and urgent situations.
? Excellent leadership skills and ability to attract, motivate, develop and retain a dynamic and talented team.
? Leadership abilities to encourage commitment rather than obedience.
? Agent of change and strong ability to manage change.
? Excellent communication skills with a continuous improvement and results-oriented approach.
? Ability to work at a strategic and operational level.
? Strong initiative and self-starter.
? Fluent English required and Chinese/Mandarin as an advantage.
