EY GRC is an
organization of over 18,000 people. We are looking to hire a professional to support
the Procurement function managing USD
$34M spend annually for Talent. The subcategories include: Talent: recruitment,
contract labor, professional services, learning & development, health &
insurance, rewards & benefits.
With the recent
creation of a core business service function in which enablement functions are
being placed, the new role is to leverage opportunity to develop a consistent
category strategy that drives the delivery of quantitative and qualitative
value out of strategic procurement activities. You will report into the Regional
Leader for Talent Procurement based in GRC.
Your key
responsibilities
End-to-end delivery of sourcing
projects and category management activities for EY business stakeholders.
Act as a trusted business advisor to
EY stakeholders, aligning procurement projects with the business pipeline and
providing Exceptional Customer Services while delivery both brand and
quantitative value to the bottom line through cost savings and cost avoidance.
Adherence to EY Procurement policy
and processes, including collaboration with Legal (GCO), Risk Management and
other EY support functions.
Provides structured management and
accurate progress reporting on all projects.
Build and manage a pipeline of
Procurement projects in support of category strategy/plan and in collaboration
with Procurement leaders and stakeholders
Lead Request for Proposals (RFPs)
including commercial contractual negotiations, while partnering with
stakeholders and shared functions such as GCO, Risk Management and Vendor
Assurance.
Develop relationships with key EY
business stakeholders and report procurement progress via regular meetings.
Solid knowledge of key suppliers and
their position in the market, in addition to working through current market
intelligence resources and partners to perform the latest research.
Execution of sourcing projects in
line with the Procurement policy and within the timeline as agreed with key
stakeholders.
Minimize contractual risks to EY and
manage supplier relationships according to EY’s Procurement and Independence
policies.
Achieve value targets, while
innovatively developing new cost reduction strategies to improve negotiable
spend via sourcing and demand management activities; including spend
consolidation and supplier rationalization.
Provide accurate monthly
reporting on deals and timely submission of savings forms.
Skills and attributes for success
Has strong data analysis capability,
which will be used for category spending analysis;
Be familiar with RFP process, has a
good sense for tender document composition familiar with e-sourcing systems
Project management skill, and will
take leading role for regional project sourcing and work with stakeholders to
ensure smooth implementation;
Good communication and facilitation
skill;
Experience of Talent (HR) category
will be highly preferred;

years indirect procurement experience as a multi-national
company

rationalisation projects across a broad array of category services
Proven track record of leading
procurement activities
Ability to align efforts with

Experience with Source-to-Pay
(“S2P”) processes, including managing sourcing projects on SAP system, and
execution of online RFx and e-Auctions
Ideally, you’ll also have

- A

GDS Procurement Services is a new service offering that is
being setup in collaboration with EY’s Procurement organization which is
seeking to utilize the location footprint and skills/capabilities available
from our Global Delivery Services (GDS).
The GDS provides enabling services to EY member firms, Service
Lines, business support functions and Area/Global entities. These services
are provided via the Client Service
- Assurance, Advisory, Knowledge, Tax and TAS, and Enablement Services – Procurement Services, IT Services,
Finance & Accounting Services, Risk Management Services, People Shared
Services, Markets Enablement Services, Brand, Marketing
and communications. The
Client Service and Enablement Services are an important component of EY’s
Vision 2020 strategy, and has an ever-increasing shared services footprint
across the world, including five centers in India (Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon,
Kochi and Trivandrum), and in Argentina, China, Poland and the Philippines.
The GDS headcount is currently approx. 15,000 (September 2015) and is predicted
to grow to over 30,000 by 2020.
Procurement was established as a globalized function ten
years ago. Its purpose it to drive efficiencies in the way EY member firms
select and manage their vendor relationships. This is achieved through a
number of channels including creating procurement processes which are repeatable, can be leveraged, are
transparent as well as are aligned to business strategies and goals.
The role of
the Assistant Director - Procurement Services, GDS will be to individually
manage the procurement of technology products including hardware and
software services, at an agreed set of Service Level Agreements and Key Performance
Indicators. The role holder will be expected to form lasting relationships with
leaders and other key stakeholders/ clients to drive the development of the
procurement organization.
