The R&D team for the Care and Treats Global Innovation Centre is focused to drive Innovation that consumers and their pets love. 
A very creative team passionate about technology and consumer and pet focused behind very successful product like Pedigree Dentastix® and Dreamies® treats. 
As part of the future technologies team, the successful candidate will play an important role to identify and drive new product technologies for Cat and Dog treats that will enable exciting new concepts and product launches in the future. 
Working closely with the future technologies team leader, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to bring new product technology concepts to the programme, work with a variety of functions and internal or external experts and influence the future of the category.

What are we looking for?

• University degree in Science or Engineering
• Track record in leadership & delivery of complex technical programmes
• Technical agility and experience in Food technology
• Experienced in insight led innovation
• Fully operational in Project & Programme Management
• Actively builds collaborative and effective relationships with partners across the business and external partners
• Ability to effectively collaborate, influence, steer and lead senior managers and peers in R&D, Demand, Supply and Commercial

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Technical Leadership of the Care & Treats Global Innovation Center Science & Technology Programme.
• Fundamental understanding of technologies and the exploration and development of new technologies and transformational breakthroughs critical for the future growth of the C&T business in line with the defined consumer benefit platforms applying the DVF model (Desirable, Viable, Feasible)
• Successful collaboration with the wider technology leaders to share and identify cross category opportunities.
• Identify future technology areas and opportunities for external partnerships and drive open innovation projects.
• Identify and drive data driven initiatives within the C&T technology programme.
• Proactively manage Intellectual Property risks and opportunities.
• Actively collaborate with the Care & Treats Innovation teams & Demand, to ensure that the Technology platforms are aligned with the business priorities.
• Actively support the development of team associates, driving engagement, developing skills & competences to help build the talent pipeline within the Global Future Technology team.
