Situated in the heart of the Wellington CBD, with 139 bedrooms, 70 seat restaurant and boardroom, Novotel Wellington is looking for a natural leader with a passion for exceptional customer service.

This position reports directly to the General Manager. You will thrive in a busy environment and enjoy supporting and developing a team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mentor and train the team to deliver the highest quality of guest service throughout all moments of the guest experience.
  • Manage all guest loyalty, feedback and recognition programs with the support of the General Manager.
  • Balance of operational tasks and key administration tasks–including reporting, invoice approvals, rostering, implementation of policies and procedures, recruitment and performance reviews.
  • Close liaison with the Revenue and Reservations teams to ensure consistent communication, and accurate guest booking information.



Work Experience

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Have previous experience in a similar role and capacity
  • Must hold a FULL New Zealand driver’s license
  • Must have a GM certificate or be able to obtain.
  • Strong Opera knowledge
  • Have a personable and enthusiastic nature, with the ability to instill this culture within the team
  • Immaculate personal presentation and high level of communication –both verbal & written
  • Be computer savvy –particularly with Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Have strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop your team.
  • NZ citizen, permanent resident or hold a current and valid work visa/permit.
