Oracle is looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. This position is for a Senior Applications Engineer as part of Health Sciences Group in Serbia, who will provide technical leadership to a group of highly competent engineers. This is a hands-on technology role at Oracle with responsibilities ranging from assisting product development teams in the appropriate selection and use of technical frameworks, platforms and design patterns, to venturing into unchartered areas of technologies to solve complex problems. Responsibilities:
•    Work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
•    Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX design. Create and use effective website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS/SASS best practices. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability. 
•    Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices. Integrate data from various back-end micro services. 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional team members from Architecture, Product Strategy & Development, QA, Sales & Services, and other Central teams to architect and design multiple products
•    Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms
•    Deeper understanding of architecture principles and methods, technology and standards, actively stay abreast of trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning
Qualifications:
•    BS/MS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent
•    5+ years of development experience on enterprise & cloud applications
•    Proven working experience and understanding of at least one of the modern MV* frameworks (Angular, React/Redux, and Angular)
•    Excellent knowledge of front end architecture paradigms like MVC, MVVM, or MVP
•    Understand and be able to create Responsive UI elements either by hand (grid or flex box layout), or leveraging a framework like Foundation
•    Familiarity with hybrid mobile/desktop web development frameworks like Cordova
•    Working knowledge of distributed source control systems like Git, and traditional systems like SVN
•    Excellent knowledge on Oracle JET, JQuery, Knockout JS and LESS/SASS
•    Knowledge of using RESTful API, cross browser code
•    Passion for engineering and solving very complex engineering problems that delights customers
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language 
•    Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
