Job Description

How will you make an impact?

Conduct maintenance and organization of reagents, materials, and equipment. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive Lab procedures and business data. Ensure that safe laboratory procedures and protocols are followed at all times, especially in the application of the universal precautions of handling chemical products.Communicate effectively with members of the group, as well as those in other departments. Work as a cooperative member of a production team, and assist in all aspects of receiving and quality control testing.

What will you do?

  • Assist in maintenance and updating of all required SOP’s and quality records of equipment maintenance, tests, analysis and other relevant data
  • Adapt, implement and train current and new lab functions/procedure to other Lab Associates
  • Operate thermal cycler, image analyzer, high speed centrifuge and other hardware
  • PCR testing and analysis, Quantification, QC testing of materials
  • Conduct maintenance and organization of reagents and equipment
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive laboratory procedures and business data
  • Ensure that safe laboratory procedures and protocols are followed at all times especially in the application of universal precautions in handling of all products
  • Communicate effectively with members of the group as well as those in other departments
  • Work as a cooperative member of a Production team
  • Assist with all aspects of receiving and quality control testing of materials
  • Update and maintain raw material inventories
  • Prepare solutions
  • Assist in keeping a safe environment
  • Develop skills to help in other aspects of the department
  • Able to efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Expected to maintain work schedules as assigned

How will you get here?

Education
 

  • Bachelor degree desired, high school diploma/GED is minimum requirement

Experience

  • At least 1+ year experience working in an industry wet lab environment.
  • Previous experience with PCR testing and analysis, aseptic technique, and strong pipetting skills are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, Agile, Trackwise are preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining confidentiality of laboratory data and procedures

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as ability to work in detail-oriented manner.
  • Able to work under pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to follow and carry out oral and written directions
  • Ability to read, understand and implement written laboratory procedures
  • Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
