Renmin University of China (Suzhou Campus) Foreign French Teachers Wanted
I. Introduction to Sino-French Institute
Sino-French Institute, Renmin University of China is the first Sino-foreign cooperative institution in humanities and social sciences, approved by the Ministry of Education of China and founded by RUC in cooperation with the Sorbonne, Université Paul Valéry and KEDGE Business School in Montpellier, France.
At present, Sino-French Institute offers majors in Finance, National Economic Management, French, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Human Resource Management, and Communication, etc. It insists on trilingual teaching in Chinese, English and French. Students must be proficient in French and be able to conduct in-depth studies and research in French. Upon graduation, students will receive a bachelor's degree from both Chinese and French partner institutions, and can enter the French partner institutions for a master's degree.
II. Job Description
1. Working location: Renmin University of China, Suzhou Campus (Suzhou Science and Education Innovation Zone, Jiangsu Province );
2. Job content: French teaching;
3. Weekly class hours: 16 hours of classroom teaching + 2 hours of extracurricular tutoring (45 minutes/class time); if you are in charge of a grade, etc., weekly class time: 14 hours of classroom teaching + 2 hours of extracurricular tutoring (45 minutes/class time);
4. Contract period: one year (12 months, the contract can be renewed).
III. Remuneration package
1. The salary is 11,700 Yuan/month for bachelor degree (before tax), 12,000 Yuan/month for master degree (before tax).
2. If you are the head of a grade, you will receive a monthly allowance of RMB 1500 (before tax); If you are the deputy director of the French Language Center, you will receive a monthly stipend of RMB 2,500 (before tax).
3. Teaching bonuses of 15,000 -16,000 yuan (before tax) according to the teaching evaluation and teaching assessments every academic year. Teaching bonuses will not be paid if the teaching assessment is unqualified or resigned during the contract period, and the teaching bonuses will not be affected if the contract is not renewed.
4. Summer vacation with pay (July and August) for about 8 weeks, winter vacation with pay (January and February) for about 4 weeks;
5. Medical insurance and accident insurance;
6. Newly-hired foreign teachers who enter China from other countries will receive a travel subsidy (5000 pre-tax);
7. Reasonable salary increase for renewal according to the assessment results of last term;
8. Visa fee in China (once per person per year);.
IV. Application conditions
1. Abide by the laws of the People's Republic of China and the rules of Renmin University of China and Suzhou Campus, respect Chinese traditions and customs, and be friendly to China.
2. Passionate for higher education, work rigorously with good professional ethics, communication skills and teamwork spirit;
3. Healthy body and under 60 years old.
4. The mother tongue or first language is French.
5. Bachelor's degree or above in teaching French as a foreign language or in linguistics, literature, humanities or other related disciplines.
6. At least 2 years of working experience in teaching French as a foreign language (formal certification materials are required). Those who have obtained a bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Language or those who have obtained a teaching certificate or an international language teaching certificate can be exempted from the work experience requirement. At the same time, practical working ability to undertake teaching tasks is necessary.
7. Those who live in China currently and have master's degree or above are preferred.
