Food and Beverage Team Leader

As Food and Beverage Team Leader, you will be accountable on a shift basis for the operations of the outlet through effective people skills. Provision of friendly and efficient food and beverage service that meets the guest’s expectations.

Key Duties

  • Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests and meets their expectations.
  • Provide food and beverage services to guests as set out in the standards and procedures.
  • Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.
  • Liaise with customers and Chef/kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to.
  • Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.
  • Set up systems to protect and maintain control of restaurant and conference service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.
  • Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.
  • Ensure Food & Beverage areas meet the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.
  • Ensure all mis-en-place is completed prior to guests arriving.
  • Ensure room service trays and trolleys are set-up correctly and collected promptly when guest(s) have finished.
  • Ensure staff are competent in all service procedures and they are able to maximise sales to guests.
  • Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following Hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted.
  • Any other reasonable request as required by your Supervisor or Hotel Management.

  • Shifts start from 6am and/or 5pm onwards
