Job Title: Finance Analyst – Oracle Financing Division (OFD)     Location: Taiwan

Oracle Financing Division provides Oracle and its distribution partners financing and leasing acquisition solutions for Oracle products and services, and solutions build upon Oracle.   OFD operates in over 70 countries, and supports all of Oracle’s lines of businesses and distribution channels.   OFD is a global leader in technology finance, and seeks employees who can meet the demanding standards of Oracle customers and colleagues.

 

Brief Description

This position is responsible for various finance functions to support OFD globally with objective to centralize, simplify and streamline the processes.  This position will work closely with OFD Regional Operations, Controllers, and other Finance teams within Oracle to ensure OFD transactions are reported and processed timely and accurately.

 

Detailed Description

 

  • Perform core functions for global regions which includes a broad range of responsibilities, such as:
    • AR Adjustment Reporting
    • Invoice/Unbilled Acct Reconciliations
    • Settlement Payoffs

 

  • Resolve complex deal issues for Oracle and NetSuite
    • Review OFD Contracts and research Oracle and NetSuite Systems to summarize the deal profile and any midterm changes
    • Perform analysis based on the research and propose solutions to resolve the issues
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide instructions to close open invoices and unapplied cash

 

  • Support Senior Management & Controllers
    • Delinquency Reporting for OFD Receivables
    • Bad Debt Reserve Analysis and Provisions
    • Deal specific questions

 

  • Standardize and automate processes to improve efficiencies
    • Enhance current AR adjustment process and automate manual reporting
    • Streamline and standardize reporting process for Oracle and NetSuite
    • Perform special projects supporting the global business

 

  • Play a key role in OFD technology projects to improve and automate processes in transaction flow and reporting
    • Integrate with Oracle Global Process Owners
    • Drive OFD Finance System projects
    • Establish and manage to metrics

 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in accounting/finance;  MBA/CPA is a plus
  • 7+ years of work experience in accounting/finance
  • Knowledge of basic finance concepts (such as discounting cash flows, net present value, internal rate of return, etc.) including strong Excel skills
  • Ability to think analytically, problem solve and focus attention to detail
  • Strong English written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with systems and/or process improvement projects
  • Experience with system and accounting audit processes
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and able to work independently

 

 

 

Financial support to business areas through financial analysis, budgeting, planning & forecasting; to facilitate decision making and future business strategies.

As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. May perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Strong spreadsheet skill and proficiency in Oracle Financials. Strong written and oral communication skill. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Self starter able to prioritize given responsibilities. 5 years relevant work experience. BS/BA in Accounting/Finance preferred. CPA/MBA desired.
