The Treasury Team of the Finance Office is responsible for managing the University’s working capital and monitoring the long-term investments by its endowment funds and Superannuation Schemes. It also prepares financial analyses and long-term projections to support the development of the University as well as setting of financial policies such as endowment spending and investment return accounting/allocation.

We are looking for an aspiring individual to join the Treasury Team for:

• providing assistance in setting investment policies of the University’s funds and Superannuation Schemes;
• conducting analysis and reporting of investment performance;
• assisting in accounting and allocation of investment income;
• undertaking medium to long-term cash and financial projection;
• providing assistance in the development of treasury policies and day-to-day working capital planning and surplus funds investment;
• management of banking relationship and oversight of performance of approved banks and compliance of counterparty limits;
• evaluation and implementation of best practices to the University’s treasury operations; and
• supervision and development of staff of the Treasury Team.

Applicants should have a bachelor's or higher degree with a recognized professional accounting qualification and/or CFA qualification. He/She should have at least 8 years of relevant working experience in an endowment/foundation or international fund house, with comprehensive corporate treasury knowledge in banking operations, cash management, investment performance measurement/analysis and accounting. Hands-on experience in dealing with and monitoring of banks, fund managers and consultants, as well as excellent writing skills in presenting reports and proposals to senior management and the University’s governing bodies are required. The ideal candidate should be a good team player with exceptional analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.  (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
