Job Description
Client: Family owned German FMCG Trading Company
Location: Shanghai (Xuhui District), China
Reporting to: General Manager
Job Function/Purpose
The primary function of the Finance Manager is to independently manage and control all aspects of finance of a FMCG trading company in a dynamic environment as well as to support the business with financial insights and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Reporting / Controlling
- Monthly sales tracking (collect actual sales data)
- Rolling forecast for marketing (based on marketing expenses) on monthly basis
- Monthly accounts (preparation and monthly closing of P&L, balance sheet etc.)
- Consolidate monthly stock movement and sales reports from distributors
- Consolidate Kingdee data into various monthly and quarterly reports (e.g. Tmall sales quantity & revenue, monthly turnover qty & revenue and COGS)
- Responsible for forecast & budget as well as regulatory compliance (working together with HQ)
- Annual financial statement for China, coordinate and communicate finance related company processes
2. Compliance
- Handle local audit as well as government inspections
- Ensure compliance to established financial standards
3. Cash management
- Monthly cashflow planning
- Monitor company loan roll-over & payment terms of purchased goods defined by the customs
4. Tax
- Handle tax related issues and reports. Ensure all the requirements from local tax authority are filled completely
5. Bank correspondence
- Provide accounting materials and information regarding the development of the business upon reque
6. Contract management
- Understand requirements and support during the process of contract drafting with appropriate payment models
7. Coordination and communication
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees
- Contact person for further ad hoc requests from the Headquarter
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance
- Minimum 8 years working experience in a related position, preferred in a FMCG trading company (e.g. experience with ecommerce and offline trading related bookkeeping)
- Work experience in an international company is a plus
- Proficiency in controlling and accounting
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Kingdee
- Highly independent, reliable and confident to take on full financial responsibility
- Ability to organize and coordinate your field of responsibility independently
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and task orientated
- Critical thinking, proactive and problem-solving oriented mind-set
- Chinese: native speaker
- English: fluent in English
- German: is a plus
