This position will provide financial analysis and management reporting support within the Operations and Technology (O&T) Software Controller team. The Software Controller team oversees the global software capitalization process, including software assets management, capitalization, amortization, impairment, account reconciliations, reporting and intercompany chargeout process activities. This role will provide subject matter expertise on the project management tool (PTS-W system) and data sources used for the software capitalization process, in support of the Institutional Clients Group Technology (ICG) and Global Functions Technology Services (GFTS) groups. This role is expected to work closely with the ICG Tech and GFTS teams including the PTS-W team and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) counterparts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly process and controls to ensure data integrity of financial data used in monthly entries and charge outs. Identify and correct any data issues by working independently, with Software Controller team counterparts, or PTS-W team as appropriate.
- Provide reporting support including the development of enhanced financial reporting to provide better insight into key performance metrics, complex analytical reports, and financial analysis.
- Work with software developers to implement system improvement initiatives to automate process
- Assist the financial team with process and control standardization and improvement projects, especially leveraging the data and reporting skillsets of the individual.
- Support for adhoc requests such as capitalization trends, audits, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of financial reporting experience.
- Strong technical and data analytical skills with using Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Ability to work with and organize a large amount of data.
- Knowledge and experience in PTS-W and SQL and financial systems is a plus
- Key competencies will include a mix of excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to quality and detail.
- Good time management skills, be a self-starter who is able to work independently and be flexible enough to handle multiple tasks.
- Relationship skills and experience partnering with multiple businesses as well as the ability to influence and team with colleagues at all levels are necessary.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
