Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Service & Systems Division is currently seeking a Field Service Representative to join our team. This position is based in our Fenton, MO facility. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the listed facility will be considered. Position Overview: The Field Service Representative is responsible for providing field service support and consultation, such as acceptance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting low, medium, and high voltage systems. Advise customers and provide the best technical solution to solve the customer issue—complete assigned jobs with the assistance of lead technicians and engineers. Conduct required tests and calibration using test equipment. Check and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Essential Functions: Provide field service assistance to customers by supporting Eaton field service representatives by installing, testing, startup, maintenance, repairing, and modifying electrical power distribution equipment. Mechanical and basic testing skills are needed to provide the necessary support. Provide field service engineering and technical assistance to customers in areas of installation, testing, startup, maintenance, repair, training, and modification of electrical power distribution equipment Self-manage assigned projects for electrical equipment Skilled proficiency in the following: Basic Test Equipment Operation Basic Troubleshooting Techniques Intermediate Test Equipment Operation Advanced Troubleshooting Technique Advanced Test Equipment Operation Basic Protective Relays Basic PQ Measurements Skilled proficiency in one or more of the following: Intermediate Protective Relays Advanced PQ Measurements Disaster Recovery Rotating Machinery Protection & Control Design. Minimum of two (2) years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems. Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius from the listed location will be considered. Active Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems is highly desirable. Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis is highly desirable. Experience with protective relays is highly desirable. Electrical Contractor’s License Professional Engineering License General Contractor’s License. Position Criteria: Strong computer skills Understanding of the company's and competitor's electrical, electronic, and mechanical products and services. Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment. Demonstrated ability to provide service and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer satisfaction. Submit to the periodic customer-required background and drug screenings. Must complete and maintain internal safety certification Possess an active and unrestricted driver's license.
