Job Functions:

Field Service Engineer (Deposition Productivity Specialist) will support fast-paced Deposition hardware installation, qualification and troubleshooting in a challenging but rewarding 28nm Deposition productivity environment

Highly visible customer support role requires excellent technical ability and understanding of the systems that combine and interact to enable the 28nm -14nm generation of logic

Excellent troubleshooting skills based on structured problem-solving methods are required

Advanced level technical support to analyze, troubleshoot, manage escalations, and provide performance improvement solutions for semiconductor processing equipment in a clean room environment at customer site

Job Duties:

Provides strategic technical leadership and direction by leveraging technical knowledge of Lam's products and an understanding of the customer’s long-term product strategy

Participates in Lam’s worldwide technical community and actively shares knowledge and takes a leadership position to enhance worldwide learning and its application

Identifies and communicates opportunities for installed base performance improvements within a customer site/account through hands on and or installed based performance data collection/analysis

Works closely with productivity and global product support engineering teams to provide guidance on in-field product performance

Participates in the review of procedures, performance and tool fundamental design impacting development activity

Mentors sustaining field engineers, and designs or leads training sessions

Provide customer support through the performance of onsite installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of the systems.

Project management for introduction and proliferation Deposition productivity improvement

Responsible for quality on-site installation, upgrade, and troubleshooting support

Reports quality issues and drives them to resolution

Hands-on mechanical work on delicate and complicated systems in a cleanroom environment

Structured problem solving and troubleshooting of technical problems to the component level

Acts as a resource of lower-level engineers. On occasion, will train customer’s personnel

Requirements:

8-10 years of related experience, 5-8 years of related experience with bachelor’s degree in related field

Strong background in engineering fundamentals including electrical, mechanical, robotics, software, networking, control systems, vacuum, RF, and gas delivery are required

Expert skills in Electrical, Mechanical, RF, Gas Delivery, Robotics, Controls, and Software Troubleshooting ideal

Structured Problem Solving Ability

Understanding of Tool Availability Metrics

This position requires domestic and international travel based on business needs
