Position Overview

The primary duty of the newly established 5 sub-regions in Greater China is to work close to customers to ensure quick response and service. This is part of local for local policy. The setting up of Field Application Engineer (FAE) is to support clients quickly and to be involved in designing and specification of the project in its beginning. FAE must be very familiar with technical aspects in both power and data arena and have sales sense. FAE must be involved in the project in concept phase and work with clients to fix the design and define the spec. FAE must use his knowledge and skill to guide the customer to Volex direction. In the process, FAE should sniff around and dig down to see any other potentials and pass the info to sales.

Skills and Attributes

• University degree or equivalent qualification
• 5+ years in R&D and/or engineering experience
• Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary and international teams
• Presentation and customer technical team management skills
• Ability to build client relationships, emphasizing excellence
• High energy level and business sense
• Skill to leverage relevant teams internally and externally
• Quick learner
