Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Establish layout requirements with customer, contractor and project team.

Work with project team to determine coordinate locations for overall site layout including production building, facility building, office, warehouse, gas yard, process equipment etc.

Responsible for 3D and 2D layout design on cable tray, power panel, lighting, piping for dust collection, water, gas distribution, air duct, structure, civil and facility system etc.

Review 2D and 3D drawing for any clash before installation or construction.

Responsible for hook-up arrangement from facility tie-in point to process equipment hook up point.

Assist site measurement for plant actual size.

Assist with the creation of Layout Control Sheets for projects

Maintain clean and organized equipment and office files; assists with maintenance of project documents including posting drawings with design changes and documentation of as-built field conditions.

Assist with recordkeeping in the form of field notes, sketches, reports and daily logs.

Assist with interpretation of drawings and specifications including review of shop drawings and submittals for consistency with contract documents

Travel Requirements: Able to travel extensively including overseas. Assignment could involve long term domestic or international assignments.

Education & Experience

BS in Architectural, Civil or Structure Engineering or mechanical engineering related area.

2-5+ years overall experience and demonstrated increasing responsibility in the areas of facility engineering.

Overseas educational experience is a plus.

Required Skills

Layout design background with 3+ years experiences in implementation of facility system and process equipment.

Knowledge of civil construction practices

PC Software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, AutoCad 2D, 3D Revit.
