Job Purpose Statement
The primary responsibility of Facility Engineer – Mechanical is to manage the facilities operation under the guidance of the (Assistant) Facility Manager. To ensure all mechanical related equipment and systems are in good working.
Key Accountabilities
1. To provide support for new and renovation projects, communicate requirements with end users and act as a bridge with designers, construction management, take over and commissioning of mechanical related system.
2. Be responsible for maintenance and repair of building, air conditioning, fresh-air, water supply and drainage system, waste water, compressed air and elevator and other mechanical related system.
3. To make annual maintenance plan of mechanical system and implement the plan.
4. To manage venders, prepare and develop relevant document in relation maintenance, repair, retrofit, renovation works, such as drawing, specification, tender document, contract, report and payment document.
5. Be responsible for vendor management and assist manager to evaluate the service of vendor.
6. To answer the inquiry from vendors, and coordinate with finance department to ensure the payment be made to vendors on time and of accurate amount.
7. Assist manager to revise mechanical related SOP and regulations.
8. Assist manager to manage CAPEX projects.
9. Assist manager to set up the annual budget and finish the works within the budget.
10. Cover the duties and responsibilities of the manager during his/her absence.
11. 7/24 on call, emergency response.
12. Other work assigned by manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Education and/or professional qualifications (minimum requirements)
1. College degree or above, mechanical engineering or related major
2. Minimum 5 years working experiences in facility management work in relation to mechanical system, especially in hospital industry or pharmaceutical enterprise.
3. Minimum 2 years experiences in supervisor position as advantage.
Job Knowledge, Skills or Abilities (demonstrate skill in Administration, Management and Team working)
4. Have skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment and discretion to achieve organizational objectives.
5. Good leadership for team management.
6. Good English ability for reading and written.
7. Experienced knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Auto CAD.
8. Good time management skill.
