Description: The Juilliard School (Juilliard) is a world renowned, global performing arts conservatory and institution of higher learning located on the campus of Lincoln Center in New York and in Tianjin, China. Facilities management and related services are essential to the success of the School’s academic programs as well as its day-to-day operations. The core business of Juilliard is to provide world class instruction in music, drama and dance to a diverse student body at the pre-undergraduate, undergraduate and graduate levels. Facilities Manager of The Tianjin Juilliard School will needs to support the Facilities Director to lead and manage the external suppliers as well as serve as assistant and communication channel with key stakeholders/end users within the school to make sure resources of the school are well managed and the related services are delivered according to The Tianjin Juilliard School business objectives and ensures facilities and related services lead to outcomes that align with those objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day efforts of the Hard Services (MEP/Decoration/Building Related) and EHS (Environment, Health and Safety).
- Set up and execution of Hard Service operation process, procedures and standards, monitoring service standards of all outsourcing service vendors based on the school requirements and related contractual terms.
- Manage service vendors by conducting KPI assessment, service standard adjustment and cost tracking & control to ensure related services are delivered to comply with school standard or related contractual terms.
- Coordinates the development of facilities management system, maintains the system to ensure the facilities and equipment are well maintained and related services are satisfied by the stakeholders/end users within the community.
- Strive for continues improvement to increase the effectiveness and efficiency on existing process and procedure.
- Planning and execution the efficient process on energy management to save energy on the premise of meeting the TJS standards.
- Interfaces with stakeholders and well handle their requests, establishes and maintains a good and effective communication with all the relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for Facilities Department procurement requests and cooperate with Procurement Department to ensure the quality and delivery schedule. Manages the inventory record and coordinates with out-sourcing service provider.
- Prepares facilities related contracts and process contract signing procedure.
- Facility related project management and ensure the safety, quality, schedule and cost expense of the delivery meets TJS standards.
- Other duties assigned.
Professional Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Mechanical, Electricity, engineering filed or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in a mid-size service or professional organization of similar scope and scale, preferably including experiences relevant to the field of K-12 international school/higher education and/or hospitality industry.
- Have depth and breadth experiences in managing service providers and preferably with hands-on knowledge on MEP systems.
- Experiences working with a multi-national and diverse population preferred.
- Experiences on facilities management system development preferred.
- Experiences and qualified project management skill preferred.
- A good candidate should be a person with detail in mind and always be patient with multitask.
- Good organizational and planning skills, communicating critical, time-sensitive information to the appropriate parties and provides follow-up action as necessary, and facilitates the satisfactory resolution to issues.
- Good verbal and written communications skills in Chinese and English
