JD:

? To set the Quality Standards by approving fabric specification and test result for all product categories through TGT Asia

? Review the quality issues with the merchandizing & QC teams and give “approval”/”reject” result with comments

? Help to source the fabric routes that meet the business needs, and establish the fabric supplier matrix

? Assist in educating suppliers, and internal merchandising & QC staff on textile technology, fabric testing or related aspects (i.e. on site, training forums etc), to help them understand, achieve and maintain the agreed performance requirement

? Help to audit the garment vendor from Material QC perspective, and establish the vendor scorecard

? Communicate with fabric mills and garment vendors on fabric quality improvement to ensure goods are delivered in accordance with Target Performance Requirement

? Assist in maintenance and continuous improvement of existing textile qualities & systems

? Contribute to and maintain a positive team culture that contributes to the provision of excellence in performance and customer satisfaction

? Maintain & promote positive relationship with merchandising & QC teams through regular meetings & providing technical support & advice

? Set up and maintain the Fabric Physical Library

Qualification Required

? Tertiary qualification, a degree in textile technology and a minimum of 8 years technical experience in the textile and fashion industry

? Demonstrate skills, knowledge & experience in textile fabrications, dyeing, printing & finishing production and testing

? Understanding of international testing methods and Australian safety requirement

? Present good personality, easy to approach, willing to help and pay attention to details

? Outstanding communication skills – written & oral in English, Mandarin and Cantonese

? Good computer skills, conversant with Word, Excel and Power-point

? Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
