Main responsibilities and tasks:

To ensure fabrics are sourced and developed with the best price and in the right quality adhering to all norms and regulations. Close collaboration with merchandising to monitor bulk fabric quality and delivery management

Fabric Sourcing and Development

• Analyze trends and market conditions for the present and the future regarding quality, pricing, availability etc.
• Work with IIC / Direct customer in fabric sourcing and development, to execute their product vision on fabric. Communicate the briefing to the relevant fabric supplier(s) and follow up throughout the development process
• Do price negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best possible price
• Evaluate existing and new fabric suppliers’ production ability and service performance
• On-going education of suppliers with regards to IIC standards, requirements and norms and regulation
• Assure information sharing and close cooperation with Merchandiser and QA specialist regarding fabric development and production
• Provide technical support related to fabric quality issues during sampling, production and testing. Propose alternative solutions and action steps to solve the situation regarding fabrics
• Enter and keep up to date fabric data in PLM system, and other fabric databank. Maintain fabric library
• Initiate and execute both physical and random chemical test along material development process to ensure product compliant with INTERSPORT Norms and Regulations

Lab Dip and SMS fabric monitoring

• Manage Lad Dip approval process within the timeframe
• Manage SMS color and quality approval process and SMS fabric testing within the timeframe
• Other tasks assigned by the superior

Requirements:

• College degree and above, major in Textile Engineering, chemical engineering.
• At least 3 years working experience with similar position in garment/textile industry
• Strong knowledge in fabrication
• Know-how of sport/technical textile product and production
• Strong data analysis and process mapping skills
• Solid presentation and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Team player and Positive attitude
• Facility in development of proposals and reports
• Able to travel extensively
