Job Description:
Celestica R&D(shanghai)Center is looking for a FPGA design engineer to support multidisciplinary design and development of FPGA hardware supporting Switching/Cloud computing, reference boards, and commercial initiatives.
The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end FPGA design activities and will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
1. Work closely with platform architect, board designer and software designer to understand/define the architecture requirements
2. Develop the design specification which fulfills the requirements.
3: Co-work with hardware engineer on the logic part schematic design /review 'etc
4. Drive device selection decision
5. On-time delivery of the RTL design and module-level verification and test case definition
6. Drive the entire back-end design flow including design constraints, floor-plan and timing closure
7. FPGA validation and issue debug on the real hardware board
8. Collaborate with peers including different function team and co-work with team mentor junior design engineers
9. Provide accurate and timely project schedule estimates
Qualifications:
1. Must have a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields
2. Minimum 2 years' experience as a FPGA design Engineer, familiar with Xilinx and Intel(Altera)FPGA and Lattice CPLD/FPGA 'etc
3. In depth knowledge with Verilog, System Verilog, RTL design, FPGA design, and FPGA design tools(eg.ISE, Vivado, Quartuse-II, Modelsim 'etc)
4. In depth knowledge with high speed serial protocols such as PCIe/Ethernet/DDR/LVDS; familiar with SPI,I2C,UART,LPC,MDIO'etc low speed interface
5. Familiar with UVM constrained random coverage driven concepts, assertion based verification and functional coverage techniques
6. Excellent problem solving and hands-on debugging skills
7. Excellent communications skills and well English speaking/writing ability
8. Team oriented; strong inter-personal skills and ability to understand customer needs, expectations and perspective
9. Demonstrated ability to multi-task on multiple projects
