Reports to: College Director / Academic Director / Programme Director

Key Roles, Responsibilities and Duties:

• Deliver lessons in a clear and organized manner to ensure respective modules’ learning outcomes are achieved.
• Adhere to Raffles proprietary curriculum and course outlines as prescribed in the Programme Handbook.
• Develop weekly lesson plans and compile teaching materials at least one week in advance for modules assigned. Digital copies of all teaching materials and lesson plans must be filed with the college.
• Incorporate relevant industry experiences and expertise to value add to teaching materials for students.
• Give and grade assignments and exams according to course outline, manage students’ attendance, attend regular academic meetings and participate in moderation meetings.
• Monitor the learning progress of students.Ensure that students are appropriately supported and provided with timely and constructive guidance for their academic development.
• Develop students' creativity and problem-solving skills through various hands-on projects including competitions, field trips, and industry-supported projects.
• Collaborate with relevant industry partners for projects and internships.
• Ensure proper classroom management so that classes are conducted efficiently and effectively.
• Adhere to the assigned class time-table, ensuring punctuality for each lesson.
• Participate in school promotional activities such as open days and school talks.
• Other ad hoc assignments as assignedbythe management team.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of Master Degree in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution. If teaching experience and performance is outstanding, minimum qualification of Bachelor Degree in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution can be considered as well
• At least 3 years' Fashion Design/Fashion Marketingindustry experience, preferably with teaching experience.
• Dynamic, creative and enthusiastic, with an interest to nurture students and to help them realize their full potential.
• Fluent English communication skills required. Chinese communication skills a plus.
• Possess excellent communication, organization and academic administration skills.
• Promote a culture of enterprise within the programme and amongst the students.
• Establish and maintain appropriate working relationships with international pool of lecturers and students of different nationalities.
