The role Over the years AbbVie has proved to be a valuable partner in Danish Health Care by providing solutions to issues that need to be addressed for patients to get access to optimal treatment. AbbVie has been a driving force in strategic multi-stakeholder partnerships aimed at improving treatment for patients and develop sustainable and patient centric health care solutions. As External Affairs Manager you lead and facilitate these partnerships in close dialogue with patient associations and external experts. You are point-of-contact for advice on patient empowerment and patient advocacy strategies across AbbVie’s therapeutic areas. Besides being part of the External Affairs Team in Scandinavia, you work closely with Market Access and the brand teams on both strategic and tactical level. Key Responsibilities include: Ensure strong relations to external stakeholders, identify mutual priorities and plan activities that increases disease awareness and contributes to equitable access and quality of care for patients in prioritized therapeutic area Position AbbVie as a trusted partner and advisor among key stakeholders, e.g., patient associations and external experts Drive and develop excellent External Affairs with significant impact for the AbbVie business Facilitate co-creation projects with multiple stakeholders with a common objective of creating sustainable health care solutions improving patients’ access to optimal treatment Build and maintain strong relations with patient organizations to get a clear understanding of patients’ needs and issues and to align mutual interests and possibilities Play an active part within brand teams and identify opportunities to work collaboratively with cross functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectives Provide input on trends and opportunities during preparation of brand plans Identify stakeholders and influencers, align mutual priorities and plan activities that impact decisions in health care Ensure timely execution within agreed budget Qualifications Master’s degree in Public Health, Political Science, Communication or similar Broad experience (+5 years) within the field of Public Affairs and Health Care working with health care issues (e.g., disease awareness campaigns and patient advocacy) Previous experience working with patient associations or NGOs Network within one or more of the fields of Immunology, Neurology, Oncology or EyeCare (Patient Associations and/or Health Care Institutions) Ability to successfully manage projects (including plans and budgets) ensuring objectives are met Ability to analyze data and trends to translate these into opportunities Ability to build trusted relations and collaborate with multiple stakeholders Ability to work across functions to allow cross-functional collaboration/effective brand team Ability to tailor communications and use a multi-channel approach to meet the requirements of different stakeholder groups Travel No Job Type Experienced Schedule Full-time Job Level Code IC Equal Employment Opportunity At AbbVie, we value bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to develop new and innovative solutions for patients.
