YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Leading a laboratory in the Process Technologies unit and providing technical management for the associated lab team
  • Simultaneous management/handling of several projects in interdisciplinary teams for all Bayer divisions
  • Design and supervision of experimental studies to investigate and quantify reaction mechanisms
  • Evaluation of on/off-line analytical data and development of mathematical models to describe reaction kinetics
  • Independent interpretation of the obtained results in the project-specific context incl. corresponding reporting
  • Assessment and implementation of new technologies/procedures to further develop the field as well as internal processes

  

WHO YOU ARE 

  • University degree in chemistry or chemical engineering with subsequent doctorate in the field of reaction kinetics or comparable work experience
  • Experience in managing an experimental laboratory in the areas of chemical process development/process optimization in an industrial environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the experimental investigation of reaction mechanisms and their mathematical description
  • Sound practical experience in the relevant investigation methods for on/off-line monitoring of organic reactions
  • Enjoyment of working in a team and ability to lead and inspire employees
  • Efficient working style and a high degree of initiative and commitment
  • Very good communication skills in German and English, written and spoken
