Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences
The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will be responsible for (a) managing and operating the Institute’s building premises and facilities; (b) handling human resources and office administration; (c) undertaking general liaison with departments and external parties; (d) performing procurement and logistics management of materials and equipment; (e) supervising and coaching staff; (f) undertaking administrative duties of research teams and graduate students; (g) handling research deliverables and outputs; (h) performing committee work; (i) managing new projects; (j) maintaining webpages and handling publications; (k) organising academic and publicity events for the Institute; and (l) performing other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 4 to 5 years’ relevant and solid post-qualification executive experience at tertiary institutions/public organisations; (iv) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably with high proficiency in Putonghua; (v) excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; (vi) a self-motivated and hardworking attitude, and commitment in taking responsibility for one’s direction and actions; (vii) the ability to work independently and under pressure, and as a good team member; and (viii) good computer literacy.
Applicants must submit copies of certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications may NOT be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test and a skill test (as appropriate).
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
