European R&D Value Leadership Product Developer, Birstall/Leeds UK

fixed term contract until end of 2023 

Salary: £ 33.000,00 – 41.000,00 (+ bonus & benefits) 

We have an excellent opportunity to join our Pet Nutrition business as the European Value Leadership Product Developer working within our regional R&D product development team. As a key business partner, you will have the opportunity drive strong cross functional collaboration within & outside R&D to initiate value creation ideas and develop them through to deployment in our regional supply network.

What are we looking for?

• Degree level education in scientific/technical subject
• Professional experience & track record of delivering product and process solutions.
• Proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships and work in mutil-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
• Excellent communication skills
• A highly proactive, solution orientated attitude
• Fluent in verbal and written English, additional languages are beneficial

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Responsible for ideation, development and industrialisation of product value creation projects – acting as technical project leader within wider cross functional teams.
• The optimization of existing recipes/product within our portfolio to unlock value.
• Development, testing and deployment of new raw materials to unlock value creation.
• Ensure all product developments projects deliver in line with food safey needs, pet nutrition guidelines & legislation.
• Act as a key member of the PNE Care & Treats/Dry Value Leadership community, working seamlessly with regional R&D, commercial, marketing & supply functions.
