The Ethernet Controller System Architect defines new system requirements and develops solutions based on Ethernet Controller Systems. The System Architect collects feature requirements from various sources including industry standards bodies, customers, product planning, Customer support and Intel Platforms, while collaborating with SW/FW/RTL/Board design teams to define the overall optimal solution The job description includes defining the overall system architecture, partitioning of the various sub-subsystems while responding to ongoing customer/client requests in addition to defining long-term product changes. Developing these solutions involves systematic problem solving , judgment and formal process, supporting high-level design choices for development and validation of system components. The person will Interacts with multiple functionalities in the organization as well as between developer's teams and projects. The role also involves hands-on in Lab and debug capabilities.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent plus about 7 years of experience, Masters in Electrical or
Computer Engineering or equivalent plus at least 7 years of experience
Experience in Embedded-SW/VLSI/ASIC/FPGA and system architecture definition.
Technical knowledge of Ethernet Communication protocols/OSI/Network Interface Controller architecture
Experience working with Standards and/or Industry Consortiums
Hands-on in Lab and debug capabilities
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Technical knowledge of the Datacenter and Telecommunication market requirements and solutions
Technical experience on Embedded-SW (FW) code running on embedded microcontrollers
Experience with Ethernet Controllers, Cloud applications and Cloud ethernet
Technical knowledge of Server architecture
Technical Knowledge of OS (Operating Systems), virtualization, Network virtualization, tunneling protocols, RDMA
Excellent customer communication and collaboration skills.
Marketing/planning development of product requirements and customer use cases.
Ability to work in a multi-geographical development environment, coordinating with other architects, engineers,
marketers, and planners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
