Oracle Corporation is expanding its team of Senior Enterprise Architects in ANZ. This team is made up of innovators and creative senior professionals who have a strategic thinking capability as well as able to drive business forward and have a sense of ownership. We are seeking an Enterprise Architect for National Security and Defence with a diverse range of technical skills, right across Oracle technologies who must be an Australian Citizen and based in Canberra. The Enterprise Architect must have experience in engaging at a very senior strategic level and who has a background in Business applications or similar, which include either Cloud, CRM, Business Intelligence, ERP, HCM etc.
The Enterprise Architect will have full responsibility for engaging National Security and Defence customers to design solutions and programs of work utilising the full set of Oracle products, while working at very senior level in these customers in order to help achieve their goals and trigger transformation. The individual that will be considered for this role must show continuous experience and achievements taking on difficult customer and partner environments and business challenges and to develop and manage the proposal of comprehensive solutions and to guide their adoption by the customer. The candidate must have Negative Vetting 2 or Positive Vetting clearance and be Canberra based.
The candidate must demonstrate a very strong Enterprise Architecture capability, comfortable from the Business Architecture and Strategy through to Realisation in IT. They must have a large scale change, transformation and implementation background in addition to understanding the features of products and how they help lower risk and accelerate delivery of business value.
The Senior Enterprise Architect must be able to demonstrate:
- NV2 or PV Clearance
- Client Engagement at Senior Executive Level
- Client Engagement at multiple lower levels to affect change and align customer strategies
- Clear Architecture Skills with an ability to demonstrate methodology as well as adaptability to other people's approaches, internally and with the customer
- Ability to support multiple parallel engagements across multiple complex environments and customers
- A history in consulting type engagements as well as clear presales and selling skills at the highest level
- Ability to present in small workshops and audiences as well as large scale events with very large audiences
- Write detailed proposals at both strategic and detailed levels
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Ability to demonstrate large scale customer wins for which they were or are the key architect.
- Drive teams to succeed in the complex sales environment, both in terms of direct line and indirect line reporting
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful you must demonstrate at least 2 or 3 of the following areas of expertise:
- Cloud Enterprise Class Applications Design and Deployment (must show at least two functional domains e.g. ERP, CRM, HCM, Social Tooling). Strong Application background, ideally in ERP, Business Intelligence or CRM technologies.
- Data Centre Design and Transformation (must have network, servers, storage and operations costing experience)
- Process, Service and Information Integration in complex application environments
- Advanced Multi-Channel Architecture
- Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing preferred
- Information Management for the Enterprise
- Advanced Information Modelling and Service Integration
- Advanced Mobile and Internet User Experience Architecture

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
