Job Description
1: Curriculum development

The employee will develop an effective English curriculum for the active school year across all grades.
The curriculum will encompass Student Objectives, Annual Structure, Weekly Structure suggestions as well as providing teaching aids, materials and projects. It will include progression, assessment and grading tools.
The curriculum will align with and reach the standard of other international curriculums, such as IB or iGCSE, but be bespoke for the school and apply relevant learning theory and education research.
The curriculum will be ready and approved before the start of the school year.

The intellectual property of the curriculum will belong to both the school and the employee. Once the employee leaves, the school can keep using the curriculum. And the employee is allowed to use it in another school.

2. Ensuring teaching standards

The employee will ensure that teachers using the English curriculum are applying lessons in order to reach student objectives.
This will be done in the following ways:
-Preparation: supplying teachers with the information, structures and any necessary training to provide effective lessons;
-Continual assessment: observing, reviewing and working with teachers during the year to ensure standards;
-Feedback: review the effectiveness of classes with teachers to problem solve issues with the classes and/or the curriculum.

3. Communicate with stakeholders

The employee will communicate with relevant parties (such as parents or management) to promote and outline the effectiveness of the curriculum. Reports on the learning theory and evidence can be requested.4. Supporting the Promotion and Marketing work

The employee will support the other departments to enrol new students. Including but not limited to introducing the school's English curriculum system live on the video media platform, or going to other schools for publicity.

5. Daily administration

Staff will attend regular meetings of the school management team and arrange work for the English teacher team as management decides. The staff will be responsible for the daily management of the English teacher team. When a teacher asks for leave, the staff needs to coordinate and arrange a substitute teacher.
