Job Description
1. POSITION IDENTIFICATION: ACADEMIC EDUCATOR (LEVEL 2 TEACHER)
Title ENGLISH Teacher for International Chinese Students at Nanjing Foreign Language School
Salary A very competitive salary
(19000-22000RMB per month, open to negotiation)
10 month contract (from September to June)
2. POSITION DESCRIPTION
The ENGLISH Teacher must be able to teach English Reading, Writing, Speaking, Culture and History to students in the international class.
The ENGLISH Teacher doesn’t necessarily need teaching experience
The ENGLISH Teacher will be teaching English skills and lessons to the students of the international program that are preparing to take TOEFL or IELTS tests for future acceptance to universities of Native English speaking countries around the world. He/She will be expected to follow all educational guidelines set by JYJ and/or its affiliates. On occasion the ENGLISH Teacher will be asked to meet and exceed contracted hours of teaching in order to improve and ensure success of the program. He/She will be compensated for these efforts based on details of contract.
3. PERSON SPECIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
1) Must be Native-Speakers of the English Language (i.e., USA, UK, Canada, Australia,
New Zealand, South Africa).
2) Bachelors degree or above
3) Strong understanding of education and teaching.
4. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Teaching all areas of the ENGLISH curriculum.
2) Taking responsibility for the progress of all classes taught.
3) Motivating students with enthusiastic and imaginative presentation.
4) Maintaining discipline.
5) Working with Academic Team Leader and/or JYJ Management.
6) Meeting with parents; discussing progress of students, behavior, potential, etc.
7) Keeping up to date with any and all changes to curriculum.
8) Representing JYJ and the high education expectations by putting forth best efforts
JYJ reserves the right to add, adjust, or change General Responsibilities for the ENGLISH Teacher position as entity sees fit for the betterment of students and quality of education provided.
5. COMPENSATION PACKAGE
A) Accident Insurance (invaluable)
B) A full-paid winter vacation (around 3 weeks long)
