Yicai Media Group is recruiting for senior and junior English-language news editors. Successful candidates will join an expanding editorial team at Yicai Global responsible for ensuring accuracy, grammar, spelling and style as well as clarity and concision of articles. Many articles need rewriting; some need recasting. The role demands news judgment and great attention to detail under time pressure.

Editing and/or writing experience, especially in news, is preferred. Chinese language ability and China experience are not required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will:
1. Edit English-language news copy to a high standard and on time.
2. Ensure quality of all articles and proactively improve quality.
3.Have an awareness of key China developments in the country and globally.
4.Supervise and mentor junior editors, if a senior editor.

Required skills:
1. Excellent English language proficiency.
2.Attention to detail and the bigger picture.
3. Ability to turn around articles under time pressure.
4.Proven track record in editing and/or writing, especially in journalism.
5.Awareness of economic, financial and tech developments in China would be beneficial.
6.Ability to mentor junior editors, if applying for senior position.
7. Ability to self-motivate and self-organize.
