Position Overview: We are seeking a talented entry level technician to join our team. The selected candidate will work with close guidance and supervision on tasks for both large and small projects in a team environment on a variety of wayside signaling projects. Responsibilities: • Create and maintain project submittal log. • Ensure Bill of Material accuracy. • Create part number requests. • Assists with tag generation. • Assists with continuity, tag check, and breakdown testing. • Modify design drawings using CADD and/or Drafting Standards. • Provide field support for testing, surveys, and commission. • Assists with parts research needed for new designs. • Interface with mechanical engineering department to facilitate new assembly needs. For your safety, we require: • Two-year technical certification training in electrical engineering/related field or 1-2 years’ experience in Railroad signaling and/or on-board locomotive equipment industry. • Knowledge of CADD (AutoCAD/MicroStation) and reading electrical schematics or blueprints. • Successfully demonstrates leading-edge or extensive knowledge in a technical or specialty area. Generally, 2-5 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and knowledge as presented above. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office. • Must be organized, self-directed, able to prioritize and multi-task, work in a team environment and take direction from others.
